Break Hestia's grudge
Pick up to five cards and play a poker hand. Points times Factor wears her Grudge down. You have four plays and three discards to take it from 300 to zero.
Hestia's Ember
+4 Factor on every hand you playShe moves your cold hands closer to the fire before asking your name. The first Trial of a crossing, as it looks in the game, with Hestia's Ember already on your altar. How a crossing goes
Play hands. Bend the rules. Sail on.
Each run is a voyage from Hestia's Hearth to Zeus's own council. Lose a Trial and the crossing ends, so every Favor you buy and every card you keep has to earn its place.

The Trial
Wear down the Grudge
Each sanctuary holds three Trials. Play poker hands before your plays run out: a hand's Points times its Factor comes off the host's Grudge.
-
The Market
Stack your altar
Spend obols at Hermes' Emporium. Favors sit on your altar and fire from left to right, so their order changes the result. Hover them to read what they do.

The Voyage
Sail to the next god
Eight sanctuaries, each ending in a Divine Trial whose rule twists the game. Skip a Trial for a Gift if you dare. Clear all eight, then keep going in Endless mode.

Questions
What kind of game is Olymbo?
A single-player poker roguelike. You play poker hands to score against each god's Grudge, buy Favors that change how scoring works, and push as far as your deck can carry you. Every run starts fresh; your unlocks and Codex discoveries stay.
Do I need to know poker?
No. The game names your hand as you pick cards and shows its Points and Factor before you play it. On your first Trial, Hermes walks you through the basics in six short steps.
Is it like Balatro?
Yes, it's in the same family. If you enjoyed Balatro, the core loop will feel familiar. Olymbo has its own cast of Greek gods who talk back, its own Favors, Divine Trials and decks, and a ferry to steer through eight sanctuaries.
How much does Olymbo cost?
$1.49, paid once on itch.io. That's the whole game: all eight sanctuaries, Endless mode and every unlock. There are no ads, microtransactions or subscriptions.
Where can I buy Olymbo?
On itch.io. After you pay, you download the game there and keep it.
What do I need to play?
A desktop or laptop computer with a mouse and keyboard. Olymbo isn't built for phones or tablets. It runs offline and needs no account.
Is there a demo?
Yes. There's a free demo you can play in your browser on the itch.io page, and you can play a hand at the top of this page.
Does it save my progress?
After every action. If you close the game mid-Trial, you pick up where you left off. If a save ever can't be written, the game tells you and offers a downloadable copy.
Can I change the speed, screen shake or contrast?
Yes. Settings has game speed, screen shake, particles, reduced motion, high contrast and fullscreen. Every action has a keyboard shortcut, and you can click during scoring to skip ahead.
